First sign of spring

Good morning everyone!

Just look at that, the first flowers in the spring! These are called Schneegloeckchen, or snow bells. They are early risers ! Mom of course is thrilled about that. And when she is happy-we are happy! There is hope humans, spring is just around the corner. And for all the poor animals, who are left out in the cold-it won't be long now until you are able to bask in the sun. Your paws won't be cut to shreds by the ice and snow anymore!
Teddy was so happy he rolled around on the couch in glee. Just look at that big boy, so happy, he can hardly stand it.
Mom seems to be in a particularly good mood today. Those tiny Flowers make her so happy- go figure.
I think the last time I was telling you about my being sick with some bug. The nice Vet made me all better and I returned home to my fellow feline friends and mommy. The weather got better, and mommy brought in fresh grass for us- oh what a treat! We gathered around, and quibbled amongst ourselves who got the most. That was so much fun. May came and the most astounding thing happened. Mom got a call that a single baby was found, and could she please keep it until it's mom could be located. That turned out to be one of the most exciting things I ever experienced. Imagine, a baby! Nicky and I checked it
out very carefully, as we never seen one before. It was very well behaved. It was also very fuzzy and cute. We took very good care of it. We loved it and washed it, and kept it warm. It was a real challenge for me to bring it into the cage mom had prepared for it to keep it save. I had to drag it, as I wasn't tall enough to carry it, but the baby was really good and didn't complain. Mom fed the baby with a bottle, and then let us take care of it. We, Nicky and I had such a great time doing that.

As you all can see, Nicky and did a good job, Nicky gave his support by washing me, while I washed the baby. I held it in my arms, and it snuggled right up. Mom wasn't worried about it being hurt by us, when she saw how much we cared about this tiny baby. She just came in now and again to check up on the baby, and to feed it. Nicky and I got to play mom and dad for one night. It was a wonderful experience for both of us. We never fought in front of "our" little treasured baby. Which is how it should be. I was a good mommy, kept the baby warm, clean, and happy. Somehow mother nature taught me what to do, since the baby didn't know how to use the litter box, it was my job to cleaned it up. I kept that baby really clean, and smelling good. I was so proud of myself. I was really sorry to see that baby leave, I almost wished we could have kept it, but it's mother and 3 other siblings were found. And it is always best for a child to have it's mommy. So, sadly our baby went back to it's mom and brothers and sisters. It was the best thing to do mom said, but I felt sad, and spend a day in bed holding my stuffed baby kitten while I mourned. Nicky and I are a great team as far as taking care of a baby. And that would not be our last experience with little ones. Mom helped a lot of babies in her time, and mine, and we all get to help with the care of these sorry little ones. Sometimes they come here all scared, or fresh, and we help mommy socialize them. When they leave our home to go to their forever home, the are well behaved and happy kitties. Sometimes they came sick, and mommy had to make them all better, before we could help with the socialization. All in all, each time we have more or less fun, as we help these small kids to become fine members of the feline world.
