Hello fellow felines, and Humans. This week is almost over, I am sure you fellow humans are so happy that this is the last day of work for you. The weekend is coming-yahoo. And what will you be doing on your weekend? I hope you take lots of time to snuggle and pamper your feline friend.
On with the story...
A Specialist was needed to help me out. After many phone calls my mom found one, even in driving distance. Mom has some issues with her body and can't drive long distances, and often has to take a break on the couch to ease her pain.
Despite of that she still manages to take care of all of us- a shining example of what a human is capable of under even the most difficult of circumstances.
Anyway, she talked for a very long time about me to this Vet. When she got off the phone she smiled- we had a winner! Next step was to find the $$$$ we needed. As I mentioned before I don't have a job, no money of my own, I came poor, as my biological parents had left me no inheritance. They were poor too. My mom was left un- spayed, my dad un- neutered to roam around, and you know what happens when 2 unaltered felines meet in season- yep, babies, lots and lots of them. Oh well. In any case the wonderful people from CATS Northeast got the story of my situation out into 2 local news papers. Mom and I were interviewed, someone came and took pictures, oh yeah. I wasn't quite 4 lbs then. The story was published, and you wouldn't believe the responses. It was a Kittie's dream come true. I was deliriously happy when I got to smell all the letters, roll all over them and play with them. Nicky helped sort out the letters by smell. He is such a good friend.
Mommy has to go and dig out her car now, so I'll continue this story later... meow to all you furry friends.
It's still Friday. Poor Teddy had to go to the Vet for his annual shots. Teddy's official name is Sir Theodor, or Professor Theodor. He is one glorious CAT. It's hard to believe that this luscious boy was kicked out and left to fend for himself in the dead of winter. He just celebrated his 4th year of being saved by mommy. Wished I had seen him when he first came, they had to shave him naked down to the tip of his tail, because he was so full of burrs, and knots. He is now 8 years old, but behaves like a giant kitten. He is one of my favorite subjects. I am so glad mom saved him. Wouldn't you know it he was not neutered either, shame on those people. Because of that he got beaten up by some of the neighborhood cats and they bit him really bad and gave him FIV. You'd never know it looking at him. That issue of spay/neuter is most distressing to me, as so many folks think it's ok to let their felines roam around. So, as my birth mother and countless others are forced to reproduce when nature calls, males fight for the girls and wham- babies, FIV, or Leukemia happens. Why would anyone in their right mind, proclaiming to love their felines, allow this to happen?? Doesn't anyone get it? Bad things happen to felines who are left unaltered if they go outside!!!!!!
Ok, now that I got that off my chest, I feel much better. I am sure that subject will come up again, next time some orphans show up here for mommy to take care off. Which means I too am going to be very busy socializing those little critters, and teach them manners.
Oh, oh, mommy found some of my baby pictures. I hope she can't down load them.
Well she did it now, somehow by some strange miracle she managed to download some of my baby pics. Please forgive my hair-do, as I was young and had no idea of grooming before pics. It took a while to learn.
